Besides Lake Winne (opposite page), Two other haunted attractions are opening this weekend, one in Chattanooga and the other in Altamont, Tenn.
* Chattanooga: ChattaBooga Haunted Attractions presents Masscare at Monster Marine and Supply.
"It's got more of a storyline. It's not your typical, average haunted house," said spokesperson Kim Bell.
According to organizer Harry Phillips, the story is of an office building constructed over a graveyard. The graves were excavated to make room for a loading dock, releasing demonic spirits throughout the space. The guests, Phillips said, are job applicants who will go through a gory interview process.
* Altamont: Grandview RV Park presents its third annual haunted house. Visitors are invited to visit Dr. Frankensteen's Haunted House, where they can experience the electric chair, the guillotine and enjoy a live show in the doctor's lab.
"It is very unique. It is most all handmade. There's very little store-bought things, and you won't see another anywhere like it," said owner Marian Harris.
This year, Grandview is introducing a new event, Family Night, designed for little ghosts 12 and younger. Scheduled Oct. 22-23, it will include hay rides, a visit to the pumpkin patch, a fortune teller, gifts and concessions.
