About 5,000 rubber ducks will be dropped from the Walnut Street Bridge into the Tennessee River to float downstream in a race to the finish line during the 2018 Great Kiwanis Duck Race on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 9 a.m.
The fastest duck wins its owner $2,000, second place wins $1,000 and third receives $500.
Anyone age 18 or older may adopt a numbered duck for $5, and proceeds benefit the Kiwanians' philanthropic projects.
To adopt a duck, email kiwanischatt@comcast.net.
