First Tennessee Pavilion will have all the makings of a tailgate party Sunday, Aug. 23, when Chattanooga Market presents Meet the Mocs.
Fans can turn out in support of the hometown teams throughout the day. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., members of the volleyball, men's and women's basketball, softball and women's golf teams will be featured. From 1 to 2 p.m. comes the chance to mix and mingle with the football team and spirit squad. From 2 to 4 p.m., wrestling, women's tennis and men's golf, cross-country and track teams will greet fans.
EPB will sponsor both a stage for musicians - Chattanooga bluegrass band Slim Pickins and folk troubadour Eric Nassau - and a Sports Zone for game-watching. Food vendors will serve up favorite fare.
That's all in addition to the regular assortment of home-grown produce and handmade arts, crafts and specialty products available at the market.
