Chattanooga Zoo lights up for the holidays

See Chattanooga Zoo transformed into a Christmas wonderland when Holiday Lights at the Zoo opens to the public on Friday, Dec. 7, at the zoo, 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave.

Enjoy seeing the zoo covered in lights as you visit the animals and watch them open gifts. Activities include holiday-themed animal enrichment programs, letters to Santa, carolers, cookie decorating, bingo, Hidden Elf on the Shelf, ornament crafting and storytime.

Activities available for extra fee: snack carts, camel feedings, train rides and carousel rides. Photos with Santa are an additional $7 per print.

Holidays Lights at the Zoo will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays Dec. 7-8, 14-15 and 21-22.

Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for children and zoo members receive 50 percent off admission prices.
