People Helping People online auction starts March 15

People Helping People, a nonprofit that assists struggling families in Polk County and the surrounding area, will open an online auction on Friday, March 15, at www.32auctions.com/livelovelearnattlc. The fundraiser will conclude with Paint the Night Away benefit and silent auction on Friday, April 12.

People Helping People assists any family in time of distress without discrimination or monetary gain. In addition to providing low-cost daycare for families in rural Benton, Tennessee, its services include a community kitchen, monthly clothing distribution and free short-term loans of medical equipment and supplies. People Helping People also offers crisis assistance to anyone who has lost their home due to natural disaster, fire, domestic violence or incarceration.

Auction items include Dollywood tickets, hockey puck autographed by the Nashville Predators, Grand Ole Opry tickets, American Girl dolls and two-night stays in Welcome Valley Village in Polk County, Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge.

Bidders do not have to be present to win.
