Homecoming is synonymous with football season each fall. Welcome Home nonprofit is hosting its first homecoming dance for grown-ups at Gate 11 Distillery in the Chattanooga Choo Choo, 1400 Market St., on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m.
It's all the fun without the teenage angst. Put on your cool homecoming attire, rock out to Hit Town, shown, and vote for a homecoming king and queen.
There will be mocktails and cocktails, silent auction and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 at the door, and proceeds will help Welcome Home's mission of providing shelter and compassionate end-of-life care for people in need.
