On a recent Saturday, the Chattanooga Zoo was overrun by a horde of princesses and pirates.
With costumed live characters from Magic Lamp Entertainment sprinkled throughout the grounds, the zoo hosted its Pirates, Parrots & Princesses Day and encouraged children to dress up, too.
Attendees got to meet their favorite characters, see "dragons" up close, go on a treasure hunt, and more.
While the resident parrots were a focus of the day, they were not necessarily the stars of the show as guests watched animals enjoy their themed enrichment.
