Owner: Ringgold resident Angela Williams, who recently transformed her side business of five years into a full-time enterprise.
Offerings: Pet, family and wedding photography are among Williams' most frequent shoots. Her favorite and most popular, however, are her photo shoots for high school seniors, often surrounding events like prom. She said she sometimes spends up to four hours with her clients, helping the girls do hair and makeup while slowly drawing the guys out of their shell. "I always know what the guy's going to say: 'OK, what do you want me to do with my hands? I'm only here because of her,'" Williams laughed. "So I laugh with them and make the guys feel comfortable, and by the end of the photo shoot, they're asking me, 'Hey, Angela, do you want me to do this? Do you want me to do that?'"
What makes her unique: Williams believes she has a knack for capturing the personalities of her subjects through her photos, a talent that no doubt stems from her ability to quell people's nerves. "I feel like God gave me a gift to make people feel at ease, and I always have a really good time with my clients," she said. "I always say that at the end of the day, the picture is the photographer's fault - you either stopped somebody from doing something or asked them to do something."
Accolades: Second place in North Georgia's "Best of the Best" Awards, and Williams' photos have been featured in magazines such as First for Women, Senior Muse and Senior Inspire.
Pricing: Senior class photos start at $350; family and pet sessions start at $250; and weddings range from $1,500-$4,500.
