Students from Hamilton County Collegiate High School at Chattanooga State demonstrated their mechatronics skills at the Volkswagen Academy Open House in late February, showcasing what they have learned in the cooperative program with Volkswagen.

The program was put in place to offer hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology and robotronics to both high school and college students. The two-year program, called Mechatronics Akademie, accepts 11th-grade students from Hamilton County Schools. The program allows students to work on-site at the Volkswagen facility, earning high school and college credit while gaining real-world experience.
