Market City Center opens

Market City Center, the largest new residential complex built in downtown Chattanooga since the 1970s, celebrated its grand opening on the patio of the $30 million complex. Boyd Simpson, president of the Simpson Organization, said the 125-unit apartment complex will include a Bantam & Biddy restaurant among 20,000 square feet of commercial space and another 20,000 square feet of offices to transform the long vacant 700 block of Market Street.
