A vacant manufacturing site with easy access to Highway 153, Interstate-75 and Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport is ready for a new user.

The 34,600-square-foot facility at 6203 Jim Snow Way formerly held the T.J. Snow Co. until that longtime Chattanooga manufacturer moved across Lee Highway to Nowlin Lane early this decade.

The building boasts a pair of 5-ton overhead cranes, according broker Russell Elliott of Pointe Commercial Real Estate.

Ceiling heights range from 16.5 feet to 22 feet, according to the real estate company. Also, the structure has nine ground-level doors ranging from 12-feet by 14-feet to 18-feet by 18-feet. In addition, the site offers heavy electrical power with 220 volt and 480 volt three-phase power.

The company was founded in 1963 by T. J. "Jim" Snow Sr.

T.J. Snow Co. makes welding machinery. Many of its customers are involved in producing components of sheet metal and wire that go into autos and trucks, such as seat frames and exhaust system components.

The manufacturer bought a 12-acre tract near Lovell Field this decade where it shifted its entire operation as company officials took the business nationwide to expand sales.
