Christian Davis is named Vice President of Accounting for Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. He leads Vision's accounting team, overseeing the efforts of the department and providing strategic financial leadership for the growing portfolio. Christian brings more than 20 years of hospitality industry experience in various capacities. He has led the accounting initiatives for publicly traded and privately held hospitality companies, including a private, member-owned country club and several Marriott International full service hotels. In his most recent role as Vice President of Accounting Services for Dellisart, he was responsible for the oversight of multiple properties and ownership groups within the company's portfolio. Christian started his professional hospitality career with Renaissance Hotels & Resorts/Marriott International in 1997, spending eight years at the property level in roles of Assistant Controller and Director of Finance & Accounting.
Robert B. Maclellan, a Chattanooga native, has joined the NAI Charter team as an affiliate broker. Maclellan graduated from McCallie School and The University of Alabama and previously worked in development for CBL Properties where he was responsible for oversight of budget, design, permitting, and entitlement of projects related to commercial development.
Janice Maurizio joins BlueCare Tennessee, the Medicaid managed care division of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, as vice president of behavioral health programs. She earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Syracuse University and a master's degree in social work from State University of New York in Albany. Maurizio is a licensed social worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers and has worked for nearly 30 years in the health care industry.
Megan Swisher joins the medical staff of the Walter E. Boehm Birth Defects Center. In her role as Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Care Coordinator, Swisher leads the medical case management program for children born with birth defects of the brain and spine. Swisher earned her Masters of Science in nursing with a specialization in pediatric care from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is board certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Prior to joining the Center, Swisher worked as a registered nurse in the surgical ambulatory care unit at Children's Hospital at Erlanger and in the specialty clinics at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
Donna Cates is now affiliated with Crye-Leike's Chattanooga – East Brainerd branch office as a licensed Realtor. Cates specializes in residential, first-time homebuyer and new construction real estate services throughout the Greater Chattanooga and North Georgia regions. Before Cates became an established Realtor, she worked for the Federal Court and the Department of Homeland Security for a combined 24 years. It is those positions that she accredits her skills in problem solving and reasoning.
Michael Davis, MD, joins Cempa Community Care. Dr. Davis, who completed his undergraduate education at Berry College and medical school training at East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine, joins Cempa after spending the last few years as a hospitalist at Erlanger Health System. He's already familiar with Cempa since he served as an infectious disease consultant for the organization between 2015 and 2016.
April Holland is elected to membership for Miller & Martin. Holland is in the corporate practice, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, and she is located in the firm's Chattanooga office. She joined the firm in 2013. Holland works with privately-held companies through all stages of mergers and acquisitions matters on both the buy and sell sides. Holland also counsels individuals and companies in a wide range of general corporate law matters, including fund formation, securities and investment advisory matters, and state franchise registration filings. She has experience in industries ranging from technology, healthcare, flooring, transportation, insurance and bottling.
Arnold L. Smith joins Siskin Hospital as its chief human resources officer. Smith has 15 years of experience in human resources in a variety of industries. He holds a bachelor of science degree in human resource management as well as an MBA with a concentration in employment law from Troy University. He has completed the Wicklander-Zulawksi training program in workplace investigative and interviewing strategies. Smith is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the National Black Master of Business Administration Association.
Kendall Martin joins the Pointe Property Group Team. She serves as Pointe's Real Estate, Marketing and Transaction Specialist and is responsible for coordinating and managing real estate and marketing projects on our industrial, office and retail properties. Martin brings 10 years of Commercial Real Estate experience to PCRE, after working for Chattanooga based HUTTON and CBL. While at HUTTON, Martin coordinated over 100 real estate projects with nationally recognized tenants, such as Family Dollar, O'Reilly Auto Parts and many others.
Calvin "Cal" Marshall is elected as a shareholder of the firm. Marshall, a member of the firm's health care and business sections, works with clients on a variety of transactional and regulatory matters, including compliance with federal and state privacy, security and breach notification laws, health care fraud and abuse, government contracting, telemedicine, and medical billing-specific contracting and regulatory issues, among others. He also works with startup companies and nonprofits on organizational, regulatory, and transactional matters. Marshall has served in several leadership roles within the American Bar Association's Health Law Section. He was named a 2019 Rising Star by the Mid-South Super Lawyers and was recently elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
