Close to Chattanooga's Volkswagen plant, this office building has proximity to lots of businesses

An office building for sale near Chattanooga's Volkswagen assembly plant and Enterprise South industrial park could work for general business, medical space or a high-tech venture, a broker says.

Located at 6101 Enterprise Park Drive, the 16,500-square-foot structure is on the market for $2.3 million, according to broker Joe M. Pleva of KW Commercial.

The commercial property is located at the intersection of Jersey Pike and Bonny Oaks Drive and surrounded by industrial and commercial businesses. These companies include Kenco, The Trane Co., Frito Lay, UPS and others.

The property has eight units on 1.93 acres, according to the broker. The units range in size from 850 square feet to 4,000 square feet. Five of the eight spaces are leased, the broker says, with a large parking lot for employees and clients.

Volkswagen is undertaking an $800 million expansion nearby where it will start assembling a new electric SUV, the ID.4, in 2022, officials say.

A new supplier to Volkswagen, Sese Industrial Services, is constructing a 300,000-square foot plant on Hickory Valley Road in Enterprise South. Sese is investing $42 million in the facility that is to employ 240 people, according to the company.
