Two country artists with Chattanooga ties - Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina - will be featured in CMA's Summer Stay-Cay, a Country Music Association live-stream at 7 p.m. EDT Wednesday, July 1. More than 60 acts, from Jason Aldean to Rascal Flatts, are featured in the variety show, which may be viewed on CMA's YouTube channel and Facebook page.
Fans can join early for The Bud Nitro Room preshow hosted by WUSY US-101's StyckMan & Justin Cole, kicking off at 5:30 p.m. To view the full schedule, download the CMA Fest app or visit CMASummerStayCay.com.
Alaina will be featured in a "Women of Summer" performance with Lindsay Ell and Cassadee Pope during a half-hour block of the preshow, starting at 6 p.m. At 9, she'll be part of a "Say It With a Song" game along with Devin Dawson and Hardy. Brown was a later addition to the lineup, and times of his appearances have not yet been announced.
Immediately following the live-stream, fans can catch a never-before-seen, 27-minute acoustic performance by Eric Church from CMA Fest 2019.
These events are offered as an alternative to CMA Fest, which was canceled due to the coronavirus. Alaina and Brown also will be featured in "CMA Best of Fest," a three-hour retrospective airing 8 p.m. Thursday, July 9, on ABC.
