Update: Searchers find missing East Ridge woman

A search team has found a 67-year-old woman missing since Tuesday night.

Nancy Louise Williams was found at 11:30 a.m. in a wooded area near where she was thought to have been hiking. She was lying on the ground near a railroad bed with scratches and bruises, police said.

Mrs. Williams was transported to Parkridge East Hospital and is in stable condition, according to an East Ridge police release.

Family members told police that Mrs. Williams went for a walk at around 5 p.m. from her 528 Meadowlark Trail home and had not returned at 10:30 p.m.
