Charlie troop soldiers returned home as they left one year ago - amid the support of family, friends and neighbors.
The Georgia Army National Guard unit spent the last year training Afghan police and soldiers near Kabul, Afghanistan, as part of the 1st Squadron 108th Cavalry attached to the 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
"Family is the glue that held this unit together," said Capt. Jason Lewis, Charlie Troop commander.
