CHATTANOOGA (WRCB/AP) - Forecasters have posted a tornado watch as strong thunderstorms bear down on Tennessee.
The watch area stretches across the state from Memphis through all of Middle Tennessee and includes Bledsoe, Marion and Sequatchie counties.
One line of storms was moving through the western part of the state at sunrise, but a line of stronger storms was strengthening over Arkansas and moving east.
Strong winds were blowing in advance of the stormy weather.
