Suspect in N.Y. shooting death arrested in Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Authorities say a man wanted for questioning in the shooting death of a man in Long Island, N.Y. is in custody in Sevier County.

Television station WATE reports that Brett Knight was at a house when he was apprehended by U.S. marshals around 8:30 a.m. today.

No charges are expected to be filed locally. Knight will go through an extradition process on a warrant out of New York.

According to media reports, Knight, a former American Express executive, is an estranged friend of slaying victim Ross Reisner.

Reisner, an equestrian, was killed by a gunshot wound on Sept. 24 outside his home in East Setauket, N.Y.
