A 5 year-old child was hit by a vehicle at 2549 Glass Street around 7 p.m. tonight. Chattanooga police responded to the scene and said that the child suffered minor, non-life threatening injuries.
The child was transported to a local hospital for treatment, said Kyle Miller, communications coordinator for the Chattanooga Police Department.
Several children were playing in the street when the child was struck by a passing motorists, according to the release.
The driver of the vehicle did stop and is cooperating with Investigators, the release said.
The investigation is ongoing.
