Bill HullanderFriday is the last day for Hamilton County homeowners to pay their property taxes without interest and penalties, and Trustee Bill Hullander is working to make paying up more convenient.
Trustee offices at the Hamilton County Courthouse and Bonny Oaks will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. And they will have extended hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 28.
Monday through Thursday, offices will close at 4:30 p.m.
Additionally, the trustee will have a payment center open Feb. 28 at the Home Builders Association of Greater Chattanooga's Tri-State Home Show at the Chattanooga Convention & Trade Center. The payment center will open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and residents will be able to pay taxes by check only.
Residents may also pay taxes at any First Tennessee Bank branch or at hamiltontn.gov/trustee. But paying on the internet will include at 2.75 percent convenience fee.
