A brush fire burns up the side of Walden's Ridge on Sunday, March 29, 2015, in Soddy-Daisy. The fire started around 5 p.m., and winds caused it to spread up and over the bluff at Mowbray Mountain.

A 20-year old man suffered significant injuries when he fell 20-30 feet climbing large boulders at Terrace Falls on Mowbray Mountain this morning, according to Amy Maxwell, public information officer for Emergency Services at Hamilton County Government.

A 911 call was placed at 12:15 p.m. and Mowbray Mountain Fire Department responded to the scene of the fall, Maxwell said. The victim reportedly lost his grip and fell, hitting the rocks below. The Mowbray Mountain Fire Department required additional manpower in taking the man out of the woods.

The man will be transported to Erlanger Medical Center by Hamilton County EMS, Maxwell said.

The identity of the man is not known at this time. This story will be updated.
