FBI Director James Comey visited Chattanooga Friday amid the investigation into the attack on July 16 in the city.
Comey met with FBI Knoxville Special Agent in Charge Edward Reinhold, along with Chattanooga Police Chief Fletcher, FBI personnel, and other federal, state and local partners, according to a news release from the FBI.
"I witnessed firsthand the skill and determination of each member of this team as we try to understand the events of that day," Comey said in the release. "We continue to make every effort to figure out what happened and why, to bring justice for the families of our service members who paid the ultimate price for their country."
