The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on I-75 northbound in McMinn County, according to spokesperson Bill Miller.
The single-vehicle crash engulfed the vehicle in flames and has killed one person, Miller said. The occupant was inside the vehicle when troopers arrived.
The crash happened at mile marker 48.5, and shut down the interstate because of the fire from the vehicle and a fire in the grass median, Miller said.
