The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has identified the body found in a Dalton, Ga., lake Friday as that of a 13-year-old boy.

A passerby discovered the body of Raul Juan of Whitfield County in the water at Al Rollins Park around 7:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Dalton Police Department.

The GBI crime lab used dental records to identify the body, the release said.

Authorities say the cause of death was drowning and nothing found at the scene or during the autopsy suggested foul play.

Juan was reported missing to the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office at about 6 a.m. Friday when his mother woke up and saw he was not home. She reported that she last saw him at home around 1 a.m.

Detectives are trying to determine what Juan was doing during the early morning hours before his death.
