Chattanooga police said one person was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Amnicola Highway at Highway 153.
The crash happened around 3:20 p.m. when a sedan exiting Highway 153 onto Amnicola was hit by a southbound Jeep.
The sedan's driver was trapped in the car and died at the scene, the police news release stated. An injured passenger was taken to Erlanger.
The Jeep's driver refused medical treatment and is being interviewed as part of the investigation.
Names will be released after the victims' families have been notified.
