Lt. Jerry Lee of the Chattanooga Fire Department is currently on administrative leave without pay because of a DUI charge that happened on Jan. 3.

According to the police report, Lee was pulled over Sunday morning after crossing lanes and having an expired license plate. The affidavit reported he could smell alcohol from the vehicle and was arrested after an officer conducted sobriety field tests.

Lee also received a disciplinary hearing and a two-day suspension without pay from the department in 2012 for charges on domestic violence.

Bruce Garner, spokesman for the Chattanooga Police Department, confirmed that Lee will be on leave without pay until his case is resolved in court at which point the department will reevaluate the case and make further decisions.
