Police officers respond to a shots fired call in the Oak Grove neighborhood off of Beech Street on Monday.

A 15-year-old boy was shot just off E. Main Street in Chattanooga around 1 p.m. today, according to police. 

The shooting happened at 1711 South Beech Street. Investigators say that the boy's mother was fighting with her boyfriend when "a gun was discharged" and the boy was hit in the chest. 

The teenager was grazed and his injuries are not life-threatening, according to police. Investigators have not said who fired the gun. No one has been arrested but both adults are being questioned. 

The boy has not been publicly identified because he is a minor. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call 423-698-2525.
