Emergency personnel stand behind an ambulance after loading a man into the ambulance Sunday on Vance Avenue

UPDATE at 11:35 p.m.: Two men were shot in a robbery on Vance Avenue, according to the Chattanooga Police Department.  

Rigoberto Salvador-Morales, 34, and Celso Perez, 20, were sitting in a parked vehicle when two men came to the passenger side window and shot Perez, according to police. They then went to the driver's side and shot Salvador-Morales, police believe. 

The two suspects stole Salvador-Morales' wallet and cell phone, according to police. 

Both men were taken to the hospital and are expected to live, according to police.

Emergency personnel are on the scene of a "person shot" call in the 2200 block of Vance Avenue. 

The call came less than five minutes after a call about a robbery on the same block. 

The call to dispatchers came in shortly before 6:45 p.m. An ambulance was requested, and a man was being loaded into it at the scene. 

Crime tape has been placed around the scene.
