Two people injured in Dodson Avenue shooting

Two people were injured by gunfire Tuesday on Dodson Avenue, according to the Chattanooga Police Department.

A person shot call was reported about 5 p.m. at the 2800 block Dodson Avenue.

A juvenile was found with a gunshot wound to the thigh and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. A second victim, Patrick Hunter, 19, suffered a small graze wound to the arm. The juvenile will not be identified.

Both victims' injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

One victim says the gunshots came from a Nissan Altima with black tinted windows traveling east on Dodson. The shooter is described as wearing a mask pulled over the face and brandishing a silver handgun. No shell casings were found at the scene.
