The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a CSX train derailment at 4:45 a.m. this morning.
When the fire department arrived on scene, 10 railcars of a 131 car train had left the tracks with two cars on their side.
The derailment only effects rail yard traffic, no city streets are affected. No injuries were reported and no hazards to the community.
The reason for the derailment is still being investigated by railroad officials.
