Two men are charged with murder in the death of man who was found partially burned last month in Whitfield County, Ga.

Roberto "Chico" Viera Aybar, 23, of Antioch, Tenn., was arrested in Murfreesboro and was transported back to Whitfield County on Monday, where he was charged with murder.

Hector Ruiz, 29, of Nashville, is being held at the Metro Nashville Jail. He will be transported back to Georgia soon, according to statement from Whitfield County Sheriff Scott Chitwood.

The body was discovered on Jan. 10 by a 13-year-old boy who lived in the area near Ellis Road.

Authorities say evidence indicates the body had been at the location less than 24 hours before it was found. The victim was later identified as Luis Antonio Lopez, 26, of the Nashville area.

Investigators with the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office and agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation have made several trips to the Nashville and Murfreesboro area to conduct interviews and collect evidence.

On Feb. 16, evidence was presented to a Whitfield County Magistrate Judge and murder warrants were issued. The U.S. Marshals Service was notified of the warrants and started searching for the suspects. Marshals were able to locate both suspects and take them into custody.

Authorities are still investigating the motive for the death, and additional arrests are anticipated, Chitwood said.
