Chattanooga police are investigating a man suspected of using deceptive practices to obtain spent casings at shooting ranges in multiple states, Sgt. Victor Miller said.

Part of the operation happened at Shooter's Depot on Shallowford Road today, when multiple police cars swarmed to the business around 12:45 p.m.

It's unclear whether anyone was arrested. Miller said more information would be released as it is gathered from investigators.

"It appears he is fraudulently obtaining spent casings by deceiving the shooting range businesses," he said.
