Motorcyclist seriously injured in early morning crash in Hixson

A motorcycle rider who lost control of his bike and struck a curb early Friday morning in the 1900 block of Northpoint Boulevard in Hixson was hospitalized in serious condition, Chattanooga police said in a news release.

The rider, identified as 28-year-old Corey Davis, was traveling west on Northpoint Boulevard and navigating a curve on his black Honda cycle when he ran off the road to the right, struck a curb and was thrown from the motorbike.

Hamilton County emergency management personnel responded and took Davis to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
