There are more than a dozen local elections on Tuesday in North Georgia. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across Georgia.
Here is a rundown of all of the races and the candidates in the running along with some special ballot votes in several counties.

What else is on the ballot?
Catoosa County residents will vote on a proposal that would lower the Catoosa County School District's ad valorem taxes for residents who are 65 and older whose income does not exceed $30,000 a year. Senior citizens who meet the criteria will see a $40,000 reduction in the assessed value of their homes, which will reduce or eliminate their school property taxes if the proposal passes.

Rossville voters are being asked to vote on whether or not businesses should be allowed to sell liquor and alcohol on Sundays, and more specifically during the hours of 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Rossville is calling it the "Sunday Brunch Beverage Sales" measure on the official ballot.
