A 32-year-old Chatsworth, Georgia, man has been arrested and charged with first-degree homicide with a vehicle after he allegedly struck and killed an 18-year-old man earlier this week.
Eric Shane Moore was arrested Thursday after several law enforcement agencies in North Georgia followed up on tips from community members.
Moore is charged with hitting and killing Emory Ware, of Calhoun, in a hit-and-run incident that happened early Sunday morning in Whitfield County.
The accident happened at the intersection of GA-3 and Maddox Chapel Road near the campus of Georgia Northwestern Technical College.

The Murray County Sheriff's Office helped locate the vehicle at an address on Spring Place Smyrna Road. Troopers found the green 2000 Buick Century had damage to the front of the car and the windshield that was consistent with the accident.
Moore was arrested by the Dalton Police Department on Monday on unrelated charges.
Georgia State Patrol troopers interviewed him at the Whitfield County Jail the next day and developed probable cause to issue warrants for his arrest, authorities said.
Moore also is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with evidence.
The investigation by the Georgia State Patrol is ongoing.
