A woman who arrived at a local hospital Monday afternoon with a gunshot wound told police she was checking on a flat tire in a car she was in near a gas station in the 4700 block of Brainerd Road when she heard a gunshot and realized she had been struck.
The report came in to Chattanooga police at about 5:15 p.m. Police were unable to locate a crime scene.
