The Chattanooga and East Ridge fire departments extinguished a small blaze in a 6th Avenue home Tuesday evening.

Firefighters responded to the 3700 block of 6th Avenue to find a small fire in the window on the side of the home and were able to extinguish it in a matter of minutes, according to a Chattanooga Fire Department news release.

No one was found inside the home, which appeared to be vacant. Damage to the home was estimated at $1,000.
