A structure fire on McFarland Avenue in Rossville, Georgia, completely destroyed a vacant building.

Detective Dave Scroggins with the Rossville Police Department said the building is considered a total loss and no injuries have been reported.

Scroggins said the call came in at about 8:30 Friday morning and the fire was completely extinguished at about 10:30a.m.

Joe Legge, spokesman with Walker County, said the fire was reported at 321 McFarland Avenue, which is a 10,000 square foot building. Initial scanner traffic said there was a partial collapse of the building.

Fire crews from Walker County, Catoosa County and East Ridge responded to the fire as well.

Scroggins said the building was too unstable and too hot for investigators to enter the building as of Friday afternoon. The cause of the fire is unknown
