Jack-knifed semi closes I-24 near Rossville Boulevard

A jack-knifed semi is causing delays on Interstate 24 eastbound in Chattanooga Wednesday evening.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation reported the incident around 4:30 p.m. at mile marker 180 and stated it wouldn't be cleared until around 7:30 p.m.

TDOT says all eastbound lanes in the area are closed. However, road crews have kept the shoulder open to allow traffic to slowly move by the crash. Westbound traffic is not affected.
