The founder of Signal Mountain Farm was arrested Sunday after allegedly kicking a woman's door in and threatening to cause her harm.

Signal Mountain police were called to the woman's home on Aug. 8, a Saturday, at around 9:19 p.m., according to Hamilton County court records. She showed them where the door was broken near the bottom hinges.

There was a lot of debris on the floor in the entrance, and the wall to which the hinges were connected was "peeled off and broken," police noted in the arrest affidavit.

The woman told police she believed it was Thomas O'Neal, 39, who'd done the damage.

O'Neal did not return a request for comment Wednesday.

The woman had missed more than 20 phone calls from O'Neal while she was staying at a friend's house, and he kept calling and texting her as police spoke to her, officers noted.

The woman told police she called 911 because she was afraid that O'Neal would return, though charges weren't filed at that time "due to this being an ongoing investigation," police wrote.

That Monday, Aug. 10, the woman went to the Hamilton County Chancery Court to obtain an order of protection against O'Neal, court records show. She notified police of the protective order that same day and gave them a recording of a conversation that took place just minutes before she called police on Aug. 8.

In the recording, O'Neal can allegedly be heard repeatedly saying he was at the woman's house, according to court records.

He reportedly goes on to say that he is "going to kick the f------ door in" and calls the woman "many demeaning phrases."

"I'm going to find you and f------ your whole world up," he allegedly says.

Police called the woman back on Aug. 11 to follow up, court records state. At that time, she told them that O'Neal had been at her house when she got home that day. He left only when she started to call 911.

O'Neal wasn't arrested until Sunday, just over a week after the initial incident.

He is charged with aggravated criminal trespass, vandalism and harassment. He is expected in court on Oct. 6.
