Prepare for potential traffic delays due to scheduled maintenance at these nine Whitfield County railroad crossings

The City of Dalton is alerting travelers that an upcoming maintenance project at various railway crossings could cause traffic delays in the Dalton and Whitfield County area next month, according to a news release.

The CSX railroad company will be conducting maintenance at a number of area crossings beginning in mid-September with the work that will affect Whitfield County tentatively planned to start Sept. 28.

The crossings that will be affected in Whitfield County are:

E. Emory St. (Double track), Dalton

E. Morris St. (Double track), Dalton

W. Hawthorne St., Dalton

N. Selvidge St., Dalton

W. Tyler St., Dalton

Willow Dale Rd., Dalton

Beaver Rd.

Lake Katherine Rd.

Oak St., Tunnel Hill
