A Harrison home has been destroyed by a Friday afternoon fire, according to a news release from Hamilton County Emergency Services.
The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department arrived on the 10000 block of Baker Boy Drive around 2 p.m. after a homeowner had called 911 to report the fire.
Four other fire departments and additional trucks responded to the scene since the burning house was determined to be a danger to nearby homes, the release states.
Fire officials confirmed all people were out of the burning home without any injuries, but a family cat died inside.
The home has been deemed a total loss. The family will be staying with other relatives.
The cause of the fire will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, according to the release.
