The body of a 27-year-old man from Signal Mountain who had been missing was found by a hiker in a wooded area Wednesday, according to Signal Mountain police.
David Hunter was last seen on June 22 around 8:45 p.m.walking near the Signal Road area after he told his family he would be returning later that evening. Intended destination and direction were unknown at the time.
An autopsy will be performed by the Hamilton County Medical Examiner's office to determine the cause of death, a news release states.
