A 20-year-old woman from LaFayette was killed in a car accident Sunday night in Walker County.

The Georgia State Patrol reports Brooklyn Hunter was driving north on North Marble Top Road about 7 p.m. when she lost control of her Jeep Grand Cherokee while navigating a turn near Lisbon Road.

Hunter's vehicle went off the road and hit a driveway culvert and spun. The car then went into a ditch where it overturned and came to a resting spot on its passenger side.

Hunter was taken to Erlanger Hospital where she later died due to her injuries.

Hunter's obituary says she was pregnant at the time of the crash.

Hunter's fiance, 19-year-old Brandon Yancey, was in a crash that left two dead, injured another and sent him to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta with serious injuries in March. Hunter graduated from LaFayette High School in 2018.
