Two people have been charged with murder in the death of a Chatsworth man found dead on Monday, March 16, off Carlton Petty Road at the Conasauga River Bridge in Crandall, Georgia.

Justin Payton Hooker, 20, of Dalton, and Nadya Catherine Swartz, 20, of Crandall, were arrested Friday. Each was charged with the murder of Kenneth Bunn.

Bunn was in his twenties, but officials did not specify his age. He was identified through pictures, clothing, tattoos and information given by witnesses.

Deputies found Bunn's body on the side of the road and after processing the scene determined it was a homicide.

Chief Deputy Jimmy Davenport told the Daily Citizen-News Bunn was shot where his body was found. Davenport also said Swartz is Bunn's ex-girlfriend and Hooker and Swartz are dating.

Special agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the police departments in Chatsworth, Rome and Dalton assisted in the investigation.

"Without their assistance, this investigation could have taken longer and not been as successful," Murray County Sheriff Gary Langford said in a news release.
