Dalton, Georgia, police searching for suspect in credit card theft

Dalton police are searching for a woman they say used a credit card stolen from a car to buy gas, cigarettes and vaping products. Dalton police are searching for a woman they say used a credit card stolen from a car to buy gas, cigarettes and vaping products, according to a news release from the Dalton Police Department.

The victims reported the incident after a car was broken into overnight on April 27 on Paige Street. A wallet was stolen with $500 in cash and two credit cards inside and one of the cards was used at a gas station on Glenwood Avenue to buy $20 in gas shortly after the theft.

Minutes later, the card was used again at a nearby gas station on Glenwood to purchase about $70 of cigarettes and vaping products, the release states.
