A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed on Ooltewah-Georgetown Road Saturday night, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the 8200 block of Ooltewah-Georgetown Road at 8:40 p.m., and an investigation found that a 40-year-old was hit by a vehicle that was traveling north.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to deputies.
The incident remains under investigation.
