Kendel RobinsonChattanooga police have arrested a man in connection with the Sept. 25 homicide of 21-year-old Jailen Donyelle Moore Wofford.

"In collaboration with the U.S. Marshals [Service] and the Fulton County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team, Kendel Robinson [has been taken] into custody," Chattanooga Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Jeremy Eames said in a news release.
Robinson, 30, has been charged with criminal homicide and is being held at the Silverdale Detention Center.
Wofford, who was a star athlete in basketball and football at Brainerd High School, was shot in the lot of the Citgo gas station at 3410 Campbell St. in Chattanooga about 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 25. He was later taken to an area hospital where he died. He was one of three people killed in a rash of shootings that day.
That Saturday afternoon, a 45-year-old man was left injured after a shootout that took place on the 5300 block of Old Mission Road. That evening, Keniqua Hughes, 21, and LaBrecia Dews, 37, were killed and five others were left injured in a 10:44 p.m. shooting during a community event on Grove Street. Chattanooga Police Department has yet to identify any suspects in connection to the Grove Street shootings.
