Teenager dies after Friday shooting in Chattanooga

A 16-year-old boy is dead after a Friday afternoon shooting, according to Chattanooga police.

Officers were told the boy suffered from a gunshot injury at 4:59 p.m. after a vehicle pulled up to a residence in the 3900 block of Seventh Avenue and began firing.

The boy was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation is underway.
