Chattanooga NAACP to hold Ruby Hurley Image Awards

The Chattanooga branch of the NAACP will honor members and advocates in the community at the 33rd annual Ruby Hurley Image Awards at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Under the theme of "restoring faith and hope with a commitment to justice," the virtual event features live entertainment, award presentations and featured speaker Derrick Johnson, president and CEO of the national NAACP. Gospel singer Marvin Sapp will also give a private concert for attendees.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at bit.ly/RubyHurley.

The NAACP was founded in 1909 and its members across the nation work to advocate for civil rights, monitor equal opportunies in the public and private sectors and help with voter mobilization. Learn more at naacp.org.
